The OK Dinghy growth is surging all over the world. The USA was at one time one of the biggest if not the biggest fleet in the world. The appeal of the OK is its ability to become a bespoke boat for the owner, perfectly tailored to their sailing style while still a controlled one design. Boats of all designs are competitive with the other OKs. The other appeal is that a sailor can build his own boat from less than 10 sheets of plywood.
